It is important to know at any age!
Dr. Rufu and Dr. Canup studied the scenario in which Neptune once, when it was young, had a typical prograde system of moons orbiting it that was similar to those of the other gas giants in our Solar System. The two authors propose that Triton may have originally been a KBO that wandered away from its home in the Kuiper Belt, only to be snared by Neptune. The interactions that resulted from the capture of Triton between retrograde moons and Neptune's original, prograde moons may have then resulted in the destruction of this orderly system, leaving in its wake only the ruthless Triton and Neptune's moons that are still around today.

Judith E. Braffman-Miller is a writer and astronomer whose articles have been published since 1981 in various newspapers, journals, and magazines. Although she has written on a variety of topics, she particularly loves writing about astronomy because it gives her the opportunity to communicate to others the many wonders of her field. Only some two weeks have passed since 'Yay' (water) played an important role in Burmese people's life. That was when in Tagu (March/April) during 'Thingyan' or 'Water Festival' - the 'Burmese New Year' - the people poured lots of water over one another to wash away all physical filth and dirt and the spiritual sins and evils in order to enter with a clean body and soul into the New Year. Meanwhile we are coping with the heat of the summer as best as we can. All my clothes are dry again and I have recovered from the cold I had caught during that time.

On this full-moon day under the Bodhi tree he is said to have declared: "I know thee, never shall you build again these walls of pain." He made the 'knowledge' he had acquired in the course of his Enlightenment the basis of his following some 45 years of preaching and teaching as a religious philosopher while travelling as a mendicant. He was about 80 years old when he died in Kusinagara in Nepal after being poisoned.
Earth's Moon consists of a core, mantle, and crust. The lunar core is proportionally smaller than other terrestrial bodies' cores. The iron-rich, solid inner core is 149 miles in radius, and it is encased within a liquid iron shell that is about 56 miles thick. A partly molten layer with a thickness of 93 milles surrounds the iron core.
Special note: This year there were 2 New Moons in Cancer, one at the beginning of the sign and one at the end. That is VERY significant, as is the fact that these New Moons are SUPERMOONS. A SUPERMOON (this is the 2nd of 5 this year) happens when the New or Full Moon is at its closest to Earth in its elliptical orbit. We feel the energy of the Moon's effect on Earth at those times. This will bring more intense tides and more intense feelings all around, specifically in the areas ruled by the signs involved.
