Earth's Moon completes one orbit around our planet every 27 days, and it rotates (spins) at the same rate. Because Earth is also moving--rotating on its axis as it circles our Star--from our perspective our lunar companion appears to orbit us every 29 days.
The first observations of Mars as an object traveling in Earth's night sky was recorded by the ancient Egyptian astronomers, and by 1534 BCE the ancient astronomers were familiar with the retrograde movement of the planet. In the case of Mars, the ancient astronomers realized that it made 42 circuits of the zodiac every 79 years. These scientists of long ago even invented arithmetic methods so that they could make minor corrections pertaining to the predicted positions of the planets inhabiting our Solar System. The ancient astronomers referred to the planets as "wandering stars".
Saturn has 62 known moons. Most of them are very small, icy worldlets. On June 11, 2004, shortly before arriving at Saturn, the Cassini spacecraft made its only flyby--at an altitude of 2,000 kilometers--past the very tiny icy moon Phoebe. Phoebe is a heavily cratered worldlet that circles its planet backwards--indicating that it is a captured object, born elsewhere, and not an original member of Saturn's family.
