Interesting facts about space.
In this fascinating new research, the astronomers announced that they have discovered that a duo of Pluto's moons, dubbed Nix and Hydra, are actually in a chaotic rotation. This basically means that an observer standing on the alien surface of icy, strange Pluto, would not observe the same face of its moons from one night to the next. For those observers visiting the two bizarre moons themselves, things would be even weirder because every day would be a different length from the one that came before it.
and here is another
Van Allen Radiation Belts. According to this widely known argument for the fake moon landing theory, the astronauts would not be able even to survive their trip after receiving a lethal dose of radiation, both from the Van Allen radiation belts surrounding the Earth and solar radiation beyond Earth's magnetic field.
"We've found a likely solution to the long-standing problem of how Triton arrived in its peculiar orbit. In addition, this mechanism introduces a new pathway for the capture of satellites by planets that may be relevant to other objects in the Solar System," explained Dr. Craig Agnor, a researcher from the University of California, Santa Cruz, in the May 10, 2006 issue of Time Magazine.

In addition to the Giant Impact theory, there are several other models that have been proposed to explain how our Moon was born. One alternative model to the Giant Impact scenario suggests that Earth's Moon was once a part of our planet that simply budded off when our Solar System was in its infancy--approximately 4.5 billion years ago. According to this model, the Pacific Ocean basin would be the most likely cradle for lunar birth. A second model proposes that our Moon was really born elsewhere in our Solar System and, like the duo of tiny potato-shaped Martian moons, was eventually snared by the gravitational tug of a major planet. A third theory postulates that both Earth and Moon were born at about the same time from the same protoplanetary accretion disk, composed of gas and dust, from which our Sun's family of planets, moons, and smaller objects ultimately emerged.
Although Theia made the ultimate sacrifice, it did not die in vain because this unfortunate world's demise made life possible on Earth. Earth's Moon makes our planet livable; it moderates Earth's wobble on its axis, resulting in a relatively stable, life-sustaining climate, and it also causes ocean tides that create a rhythm that has guided humanity for thousands of years.
Earlier research had determined the quantity of material accreted onto the ancient Earth following the Moon-forming collision. These previous calculations were based on how the siderophile or "iron-loving" elements such as platinum and iridium show a strong tendency to wander down into our planet's core. Following each giant impact that the primordial Earth experienced, these elements would have leached from Earth's mantle and bonded with iron-rich, heavy material that was destined to travel down, down, down into our planet's heart.
